In this interview, Diedra Lawrence and Nicole Cherry, 2 members of the Marian Anderson String Quartet discuss their music and their Community School of Music, began in 2009 in Bryan as a "needs based" school, meaning no adult or child will be turned away due to inability to pay.
> The MASQ have been based in the Brazos Valley since 2001, and we will hear about their history-making musical journey that brought them here.

Equally at home in the concert hall and the classroom, the Marian Anderson String Quartet's unique history includes performances at Lincoln Center, the Library of Congress and the 1993 Presidential Gala as well as countless schools, churches and juvenile correctional facilities.
> As it moves into its third decade, the Marian Anderson String Quartet continues its mission to augment the role of chamber music in American culture by creating new and diverse audiences.
