Many people in this community know Krista May for her efforts with the Brazos Progressives, as well as her work for Texas A&M as the World Shakespeare Bibliography associate editor, as well as teacher, Queer Studies Working Group member, and a GLBTA advisor.
Krista has been on KEOS in the past, discussing organizations and events, but in this interview, we find out about Krista May herself!
We  discuss her background, and the experiences in her life that inform her activism today. We talk about what inspires her and what concerns her. We play and discuss an excerpt from an Angela Davis speech, in which Angela Davis adresses the term "diversity".

And we will  find out what music and what literature have motivated and sustained Krista during difficult times.

Mike and Zachary Honea discuss their project "Victor Shuler Movie"http://victorshulermovie.com/home/home.html as well as Zachary's other films.
Zachary Honea is a Texas filmmaker, whose film "The Root and the Offspring" won the "One to Watch Award" at the Red Wasp Film Festival this year. Mike Honea, his father, has joined Zachary on his filmmaking quest to unravel the family mystery of Victor Shuler.
This project is described as: "One family searches for the truth about Victor Shuler, a well known relative in the family, whose silent films and production records have been lost to history. From Texas to Colorado, Missouri to California, and across the hundred year gap that spans his birth to the current day, they will not stop until they find the truth: who is Victor Shuler, and what happened to his films?"


Join us as we discuss filmmaking, creativity, and the unending mystery of family and stories and their meaning to our lives.

Marnie Krajicek is a College Station native who has adopted 2 children that she raises, along with her husband, in the Brazos Valley. She is also a yoga teacher for children and adults in the area.

In this interview she discusses  the politics of adoption, and what parents considering adoption should be prepared to encounter with this decision.
